Kevin Flood has lived in Hartford most of the last two decades. He currently works as public information officer and webmaster for the Connecticut Commission on Children. From 2001 to 2005 he edited websites for Business & Legal Reports Inc. of Old Saybrook, Conn. From 1992 to 2001 he was an associate editor for the Journal Inquirer, a daily newspaper based in Manchester, Conn. Previously, he worked as a reporter for the newspaper, covering Enfield, East Hartford, and the state Capitol. He grew up in Portland, Conn., and graduated from the University of Hartford in 1983 with a BA in communication arts. He was chairman of the Members Council (later Ambassadors Council) of the Wadsworth Atheneum from 1994 to 1999 and currently serves on the University of Hartford Alumni Council. In May 2003, he received a Jeffery S. Czopor Award from the Hartford Preservation Alliance.
