Donohue. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/jhsgh.org\/blog\/blog\/events\/building-jewish-hartford-architects-clients-builders\/\" target=\"_blank\">Register here<\/a>. Tickets cost $10 for Historical Society members, $15 for non-members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the Society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Beginning in the 1870s, members of Hartford\u2019s Jewish community became players in the city\u2019s white-hot real estate market. Jewish real estate brokers, architects, builders, and their clients all contributed to the rapid growth of Hartford and West Hartford. \u00a0Jewish owners built landmark buildings like G. Fox &amp; Co., Temple Beth Israel, and the Lyric Theater as well as small apartment buildings and residences.
